Ms. Makenete is a holder of a Bachelor of Commerce degree and Chartered Accountancy qualification. She is also an Accredited Fellow of the Macro Economic and Financial Management Institute (MEFMI). She served as a trainee Auditor in a private firm of Chartered Accountants and Auditors for a short period, later moving on to Government service for 4 years, where she served as a Senior Accountant. She then joined the Central Bank of Lesotho, where she served for just under 32 years where finally held the position of Deputy Governor for 10 years, from January 2012, until December 2021. She is passionate about women’s empowerment matters. She served as the Convenor of the Graça Machel Trust’s Expert Leaders Group for a period of a year and a half, until she was appointed as Auditor-General of Lesotho in Jan 2023. She currently coaches and mentors girls and women at various levels, participating in many women and youth empowerment groups. She is a proud Rotarian of over 28 years and has served her club as president and also Assistant Governor for District 9370, for the years 2022-23 into 2024- 25. She is a long standing member of the Lesotho Institute of Accountants in the CA category.

Milika Nyirongo Musonda is a public Financial Specialist, currently,Director-Financial Reporting and Information Systems in the Office of the Accountant General in Ministry of Finance and National Planning.She is responsible for the production of the consolidated financial report for the government of Zambia as guided by the constitution. She has over 14 years’ experience in Integrated Financial Management Information System (IFMIS) configuration and implementation (SAP). Was a core member (Financial Lead) of the government team in the IFMIS set up and roll out to 59 Ministries, Provinces and Agencies. She has over 28 years of experience, of which 20 years is at senior management level in various ministries and projects, in the Government. My experience is backed by solid credentials (Diploma in Accounting, Diploma - Chartered Public Finance and Audit (CIPFA), ACCA, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Certified SAP Financials Consultant.

Mr. Sebehela Selepe is a Chartered Accountant and the Chief Internal Auditor of the National University of Lesotho since 2006. He served the University as Special Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor for Finance and Administration (SAVC-FA) between April 2011 and September 2013. As the SAVC-FA he was reporting to the Vice Chancellor and overseeing Finance Function, Human Resources Department, Works and Maintenance Department (WMD) and ICT department until he reverted to internal audit. He joined the University after serving several managerial positions at the Maluti Mountain Brewery which include being Cost Accountant, Information Systems Manager and Head of Internal Audit. He is the Chairman of Moruo Development, Chairman of the Audit Advisory Committee, a Member of the Board of Director and Chairman of Audit Committee of the Nedbank Lesotho. He is Chairman of Public Accountability Committee which joins leadership of the Office of the Auditor General, Accountant General and Lesotho Institute of Accountants. He is a specialist member of the Audit and Risk Committee of the Lesotho Water and Electricity Authority. He is also elected by professional organisation as President of Federation of Professional Bodies Lesotho currently under registration. Mr Selepe has extensive experience in the areas of Governance, finance, risk Management and audit, has sat on several Boards both in public and private sector and has sat as council member and President of the Lesotho Institute of Accountants. Mr Selepe also served on the National Reforms Authority that was formed under the oversight of SADC to transform the country into a well-governed, peaceful and economically viable country

Ms Keto Nyapendi Kayemba is the President of the Pan African Federation of Accountants and CEO Kkay Group of Companies.  CPA Kayemba previously served the accountancy profession and society at large as: Deputy Auditor General, Uganda,Deputy Chair of the Professional Accountancy Development Committee of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC); Member of the Council of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU), representing the Office of the Auditor General; and Chairperson of the ICPAU Public Accountants Examinations Board. She is a Member of ICPAU; a Fellow of ACCA; and a Member and Past President of the Kampala Chapter of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association. CPA Kayemba holds a Bachelor of Commerce; a Master of Science in Energy Management of the Robert Gordon University-Aberdeen; and a Master of Business Administration of Makerere University. CPA Kayemba is a mentor and role model to women in accountancy. Her desire is to see women scaling the leadership ladders in the profession.

Rethabile Maluke (Mrs) is a mother of three children resident inMaseru, Lesotho.Sheis a social scientist holdingMPHIL in Social Science Methods (with a major in ProgrammeEvaluation) from the University of Stellenbosch. She has been a Commonwealth Research Fellow in Policy research departments of academic institutions including the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom.
She is a seasoned civil servant with a service of over 30 years. She began her career in the civil service in the Ministry of Finance as a junior officer and has climbed the administrative echelons in different ministries where she has grown in understanding the executive governance. She possesses an admirable blendof experience within the executive arm of government, serving in the legislature, diplomacy and currently serving at the helm ofministerial administrationas the Deputy Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning.Mrs Maluke has also served in international foraas a negotiator and chairperson. She is well grounded in policy making and has a keen interest in policy research.Her diverse experience has cultivated and molded her into a versatile asset adaptable to various work environments.
She derives her inspiration from people who made a name for themselves from humble beginnings. She defines her life along the words of Dr. Steve Maraboli“As I look back on my life, I realize that every time I thought I was being rejected from something good. I was actually being redirected to something better.”

Ms. Lekomola-Danziger has held the crucial role of Budget Controller for the Government of Lesotho at the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning since 2019. In this influential capacity, she offers strategic and technical leadership, dedicated to achieving robust public financial management objectives. Her responsibilities encompass skillful resource mobilization, proposing well-aligned budgetary allocations that prioritize government objectives, ensuring optimal resource utilization, and vigilantly monitoring and evaluating budget execution. Notably, she has been instrumental in spearheading impactful reforms aimed at modernizing the budget management landscape in Lesotho.
Her service to the Government of Lesotho includes roles such as Deputy Budget Controller, Chief Budget Officer, and Senior Economist. Noteworthy achievements include leading the successful implementation of Medium-Term Expenditure Framework and Programme Based Budgeting reforms, introducing a web-based Central Budget Management System for the entire government, and enhancing budget transparency and participation in Lesotho.
In addition to her government duties, Ms. Lekomola-Danziger has leveraged her expertise in pivotal governance roles. She currently holds the position of Chair for the Millennium Challenge Account Lesotho-II Board of Directors and chaired the Collaborative Africa Budget Reform Initiative (CABRI) General Assembly in 2020, where her influence extends to shaping public policy decisions. Furthermore, Ms. Lekomola-Danziger has contributed her insights by serving on several boards, representing the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning.
Beyond her professional pursuits, she actively engages in research and community development. Ms. Lekomola-Danziger has published insightful research papers and served as the Secretary General of Dementia Lesotho, showcasing her diverse commitment to public policy development and community welfare.
Ms. Lekomola-Danziger holds a Master’s Degree in International Economics and Trade from Shanghai University’s School of Economics in the People's Republic of China and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Statistics from the National University of Lesotho

Jane isthe Regional Head of Public Affairsfor ACCA overseeing Africa. She’s responsible for setting the ACCAstrategy for the public&government sector policy engagements.
Jane has experience driving governance and regulatorydevelopment,facilitating leadership, communications andpolicy governance processesfor public reform and standards implementation, and working collaboratively with policy stakeholders and partners.

Ms. Anab Sabriye has been a Senior Policy Advisor (Public Finance Consultant) for the Accountant General’s Office since August 2018. Holding a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in accounting and a minor in finance from the Ted Rogers School of Business Management at Toronto Metropolitan University, along with a Master of Science in Public Financial Management (with merit) and a Graduate Certificate from SOAS University of London.
Ms. Sabriyehas been pivotal in supporting PFM reform initiatives spearheaded by the Accountant General’s Officeaimed at increasing transparency and accountability within Somalia. Her role extends to representing the Federal Government in international dialogues contributing significantly to the country's debt relief efforts, and most recently the achievement ofthe HIPC Completion Point.As the Co-Chair for the Use of Country Systems and PFM Compliance, Ms. Sabriye is committed tostrengthening and increasing the use of Somalia's country systems in accordance with the PFM legislative framework. She actively engages with key development stakeholders like the World Bank and the UN, as well as various donors, to enhance cooperation across the humanitarian-development-peace nexus. Additionally, she serves as the Country Representative in the African Association of Accountants General (AAAG), playing a key role in promoting Somalia's interests in financial governance and accountability on a continental stage.

Dr.Mac-Effort Adadey is a Chartered Accountant and Financial Management Practitioner with over 27 years’ public and private sector business experience.His key practice areas include Public Financial Management (PFM), IFMIS implementation, Audit and Investigations, Internal Controls systems, Business Consultancy, Project Management, Fixed Assets Management, Human Capital Development, and IPSAS (International Public Sector Accounting Standards) implementaion. He served on many committees, working groups, and consultancy engagementsfor variousPFM reform initiatives in Ghana and other countries. He facilitatedmany conferences and training programmes locally and internationally on his key practice areas.He trained cross section of professionals from bothpublic and private sectors includingCEOs, Directors, Accountants, Budget Analysts, Procurement Officers, Auditors, HR Managers, and Administrators.
Dr. Adadey holds a PhD in ICT Management and two masters’ degrees- MBA in General Management from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana; and MSc in Management Information Systems from the Coventry University, UK. He is a Certified Oracle Implementation Specialist (COIS), Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and Certified Internal Control Professional (CICP). He holdsa Certificate in Forensic and Investigative Psychology (CIFP). He is a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountant-Ghana (ICAG); a fellow ofAssociation of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)-UK; a member of Institute of Internal Auditors Ghana & Global;member of the Project Management Institute-USA; anda member of Internal Control Institute-USA.
Dr. Adadey was the Project Manager ofGhana IFMIS (Integrated Financial Management Information System) from March 2012 to May 2017, where he deployed the systemat over 600 user-sites across Ghana and trained over 3000 system users.Hewas thehead of Research and Development Directorate of Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD) of Ghana,from June 2017 to April 2019, where he institutionalised standard procedures for the review and approval of accounting systems and financial instructions manuals for Government entities. He currently serves as Assistant Controller and Accountant General and the Director of National Accounts of Ghana.He led the production of first ever Whole-of-Government National Accounts of Ghana for 2020, 2021 and 2022 successive years. The accounts consisted of the consolidation of Central Government accounts, Local Government accounts, and Government Business Entities/ State-Owned Enterprises accounts. Dr. Adadey is currently leading the implementation of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) in Ghanaat both National and Entity levels. His contributions to public financial management system improvements in Ghana was recognised in a special award by the Office of the Head of Ghana’s Civil Service in 2022. He was earlierrecognisedas a winner of theController and Accountant-General’s Special Performance award for 2021 and was also adjudged the Overall Best Performing officers for 2021.
Dr. Adadey is the currentVice-Dean of PFM Faculty of the Institute of Chartered Accountant-Ghana. He isa member of the Audit Committee of Ministry of Finance, Ghana. He is a founder and Director of three private companies- i.e Matech Systems Limited, Matech Professional Training Centre, and Makeli Farms and Industries Limited.
His interestsarepresentation, negotiation, brainstorming, conflict resolution, career coaching, keeping-fit, listening to country music and watching wildlifedocumentaries.He is married with four daughters.

I am an experienced accountant and auditor and held various positions over the years. After completing my trainee accountant term, I started my career as a financial manager, managing the finances of a big law firm. I then moved on to work for Ernst & Young, doing outsourcing work as a financial manager. An opportunity opened for me at work at the Auditor General of South Africa as an audit manager. After a few years, I felt I needed a change, and a new opportunity came along to head up the development of software products for financial professionals in a new division at CQS Technology Holdings (later known as Caseware Africa).
As a product manager at Caseware Africa, I led teams to develop from concept to market, 4 brand new products, which resulted in annuity revenue that today is more than 20 times the original budget when I started up this division.
However, over the years irrespective of the role, I began to understand that working with people in a respectful & professional manner is the key to success.

Alok Verma is a Senior Economist in the Fiscal Affairs Department (FAD) of IMF, specializing in public financial management (PFM). He is responsible for capacity development (CD) delivery across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. Mr. Verma leads the digitalization initiatives for his division at the IMF, focusing on leveraging digital technology to enhance PFM practices. Before joining IMF, he held management positions within the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, where he played a crucial role in the PFM digital transformation. During his time there, he was instrumental in establishing accounting systems, data interoperability solutions, and platforms for PFM Systems. Mr. Verma has a deep interest in Fiscal Data Governance (FDG), data-driven fiscal operations, and the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in public finance. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer engineering, complemented by two years of specialized coursework in public finance. Additionally, Mr. Verma is passionate about the intersection of public finance and digital technologies and is a certified AI and data management professional.

Dr. Innocent Okwuosa is presently the President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)and a board member of the Pan African Federation of Accountants(PAFA). He is an Associate Professor of Accounting and a faculty member of Pan Atlantic University, Lagos. Dr Okwuosa is also a member of the International Panel on Accounting Eduaction (IPAE) of the , and a member of the African Integrated Reporting Council. He is also a member of the Industry Working Group, the Sustainability Accounting Standard Board (SASB), and the IFAC International Panel on Accounting Education (IPAE). He is an Associate Professor of Accounting and lectures at Pan Atlantic University. He consults in the areas of public-sector accounting and financial management, international financial and sustainability reporting, and assurance.

Evans is a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Kenya (ICPAK) and the founding CEO of ICPAR Rwanda. He is the current Chief Executive Officer of the African Professionalization Initiative - API. He previously served as an adviser in the PAO Capacity Building Program for Africa. He is a Public Finance Leadership and Management innovator who led the set-up of the first public sector accounting standards board of Kenya. He has rich experience in setting up Accountancy bodies (PAOs). He’s a practicing entrepreneur who founded CapaBuil Ltd.

A professionally qualified Accountant and ICT practitioner with over 25 years of management experience, in Public Financial Management (PFM), Procurement, Treasury Management, Project management, and possesses extensive technical knowledge in Auditing and Public sector policy formulation.
Godfrey is a member of the Top management team of the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development and responsible is for Overseeing PFM systems.
Possesses well-balanced experience in all areas of public financial management in addition to more than 10 years of Board experience.
Successfully initiated or led a number of innovations and transformational reforms in public financial management including the following;

• Leading the application development workgroup for the Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS).
• Project manager for the conversion of the government payment systems from manual to implementation of the Electronic payments (EFT) system.
• Introduced full cycle Automation of all Public Universities for better management of both academic and financial information.
• For 6 years headed the Public Financial Management policy formulation and legislative drafting function under the Ministry and led formulation/amendment of numerous laws including the Public Finance Management Act 2015, the Accountants Act, The Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act and Development of the Classified Expenditure Regulations/Guidelines, among others.
• Led the project for computerisation of the Public Financial Management of all Missions abroad
• Prior to joining the Ministry, Godfrey worked with the Office of the Auditor General for 7 years and pioneered both Value for Money Audit and IT Audit units .
• Led the development of the current 5-year Public Financial Management (PFM) Reform strategy of Government.
• Has undertaken several diagnostic reviews, quality assurance and extensive business process re-engineering assignments both in Uganda as well as providing technical support to both the Governments of Kenya and Malawi in automation of their treasury functions.
• Currently Godfrey is the Technical lead for a $300m country-wide Financial Inclusion programme under the Ministry of Finance.

• Julius is a results-driven Chartered Accountant (SA), Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Risk Management Assurer, and Registered Auditor (IRBA).
• His extensive career journey has included notable roles such as CEO at the Institute of Internal Auditors South Africa (IIASA), Chairperson of the Public Sector Audit Committee Forum (PSACF), and Chairperson of the Anti-Intimidation and Ethical Practices Forum (AEPF).
• Additionally, he served as Acting Executive Director for Post-Qualification Education and held the position of Senior Executive: Public Sector at the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA)
• He was the SAICA nominated as a member of the Interim Oversight Board of the Africa Professionalisation Initiative by the Pan-African Federation of Accountants (PAFA).
• In his current role, as Managing Director of Ditsibi Consulting, he offers expert support to business leaders in Governance and Business Leadership.
• He is also an Executive Director at the Public Sector Accounting and Auditing Academy (PSAAA) which is the training arm of the Southern African institute of Government Auditors (SAIGA).

Ms Senne is a Technical Director at the Pan African Federation of Accountants (PAFA) and the Deputy Chairperson of the Financial Reporting Standards Council (FRSC) of South Africa. She is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and holds an MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Sciences (GIBS).In her role at PAFA, Lebogang has been instrumental in developing and supporting the overall organisational strategy and has specifically been responsible for the organisation’s technical excellence strategic pillarwhich seeks to promote the development, adoption, and implementation of international standards relevant to the accountancy profession in Africa and to ensure that the African voice is heard at international standard setting boards.
Ms Senne is the Africa representative on the Sustainability Standards Advisory Forum (SSAF) and represents PAFA on the International Forum of Accounting Standard Setters (IFASS). In addition, she is co-secretariat for the Africa Integrated Reporting Council (AIRC), the vehicle through which PAFA and the World Bank, as co-convenors, seek to promote and support the adoption of sustainability reporting, integrated thinking and Integrated reporting in Africa.
Lebogang is also an independent non-executive director and serves as a chair or member of audit committees in several public sector entities.

Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Lesotho Institute of Accountants (LIA), Mr. Mokete is a Chartered Accountant Lesotho and a 2022 Mandela Washington Leadership in Business Fellow obtained from Clark Atlanta University, Georgia, United States of America.He has over ten years experience in leadership and management. Prior to joining LIA and amongst many businesses, Lethola founded and managed two companies; Lounge City (Pty) Ltd, which manufactures and sells custom made furnitureand Sky Blue Academy, which provides study support services to professional accountancy qualificationsstudents.
He gained strategic leadership skills from various roles including his current role as board member at Lesotho Post Bank,and former roles; one at Lesotho Institute of Accountants as council member, and another as treasurer at Lephola Savings and Credit Corporative Society Limited.
Among other roles, Mr Mokete has worked as a Business Advisory Division Manager at New Dawn Chartered Accountants, Accountant at Mothae Diamonds Mine, Finance Manager at Mafube Investment Holdings and offering accounting and business advisory services as a Chartered Public Accountant. Further, Mr. Mokete has Lecturing experience acquired through Lecturing multiple Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)papers at Sky Blue Academy and Centre for Accounting Studies.

Neo is currently the Rector at the Centre for Accounting Studies since 2017, having previously held these senior positions in different organisations: Senior Commercial Finance Officer (LHDA), Operations Manager (Lesotho Brewing Company), Finance and Administration Manager (MCA-Lesotho), Project Accountant (Maloti Drakensberg) and General Manager - Audit, Revenue Assurance and Fraud (Econet Telecom Lesotho). She has also been a Lecturer at NUL (Institute of Extra Mural Studies) in Management Accounting and Financial Accounting. At CAS, she has taught Business Strategy, Corporate Governance, Advanced Audit Assurance at CA level. She has also taught Finance Strategy, Auditing and Management Accounting at lower to medium level qualifications. As a member of staff at CAS, she gets involved in a number of corporate trainings that require a skill in Governance, Strategy and Leadership.
She has also served in Board of Kao Diamonds (Storm Mountain) in these capacities: Chairman of the Audit, Compliance and Risk Committee, Member of LIFE of Mine Committee and Member of Finance and Technical Committee. Neo has also been in the Board of LRA, chairing Finance and Audit Committee and serving in ICTC committee, eventually becoming the Deputy Chair of the Board until 2016 October. Neo served as Vice President of the Lesotho Institute of Accountants in the past and also chaired Members Services Committee.
Neo served for 2 terms in the Central Bank of Lesotho Board, also as Chair of Risk, ICT and Governance. She was Council Member of Council on Higher Education of Lesotho and chaired Audit, Finance and Risk Committee of CHE for 3 years until 14th July 2020. She serves in the LHDA Board and chairs Audit and Risk Committee. She also served as the LHDA Deputy Chair for 5 years until she requested the Board to allow other colleagues to rotate to that leadership level. Currently also serves in the Board of Standard Bank of Lesotho, chairs Bank Audit Committee and a member in the Board Remuneration and People and Culture of the same Bank.

Somadoda Fikeni is a public figure who has held various leadership roles in the public sector organizations and as a scholar or public intellectual who has influenced public discourse, institution building and public policies. He is currently the chairperson of the Public Service Commission of South Africa as well as the chairperson of the Indlulamithi South Africa Scenarios Board of Trustees.
Educationally, he holds BA & BA Honours (Unitra), MA (Queens University in Canada) and a PHD (Michigan State University)as well as numerous short programmes in specialized areas. His areas of specialization and interest are political science, public policy analysis and development, history, political economy and heritage. He has lectured in different universities in South Africa and abroad. He has also held management positions at universities and policy institutions as well as think tanks. He is a researcher and an author in the aforementioned fields. His main professional work has been and continues to be in public policy development, higher education and heritage sector. He has chaired a number of boards and councils. He has also participated in establishment and repositioning organizations. He is a visiting professor at the Nelson Mandela University in South Africa.
One of the leading public commentators on politics, policy, economic, social and heritage issues in South African and international media and forums having been recognized with several awards for this work. He is a public speaker as well as a motivational speaker.
He has received several honours and awards in South Africa and abroad and one of these is the honorary chieftaincy that was bestowed on him in Ghana. He is a community development activist and has initiated a number of community development and charity organizations to mobilize resources for assistance of the poor and the disadvantaged. As a student leader and a youth he was involved in anti-apartheid struggleand got detained on numerous occasions for his activism

A leadership and governance specialist, Vickson Ncube is an insightful, analytical, innovative and entrepreneurial professional. A Pan Africanist who believes that the resources of Africa must primarily benefit the people of the African Continent starting from the local community, spreading to the country and extending to the Continent. He believes that African countries should forge alliances that will transform them into formidable negotiators when dealing with corporates, organisations and countries from outside its borders. It is this believe that led to him playing leading roles in the founding of the following Pan African organisation:

• Pan African Federation of Accountants (PAFA) – He became the first CEO of PAFA and held the position from its launch in 2011 to 2020.
